1. Skateboard wheels are made with many different types of resin, depending on how hard or soft they are designed to be. The goop made from this is poured into molds.
2. The molds are then put into a huge oven where they bake for awhile. When they are done, the ened(ha ha)wheels are taken out of the molds and onto cement where they cool down.
3. The wheels were molded into the perfect shape on one side, but need to be cut on the other, so a giant blade shoots strings of the resin ribbon and those extras are used for projects at local schools.
4. The finished wheels are then stamped with a silk-screening machine to put the logo or design in the right place.
The Deck
5. The deck of a skateboard is made of bunches of thin sheets of wood. The sheets are glued together and pressed tightly to make it strong and flexible.
6. When the decks are solid, holes are then drilled to a pre-set size for the trucks.
7. The decks are then cut to the correct size and shape and sanded to make them smooth.
8. When they are ready, an awesome design is silk-screened to the bottom.
