THE TIME IS NOW!!
Black history is acknowledged one month out of the year but it is a lifetime cellebration for me, and should be for everyone. America as we know it today was founded and rooted in African principles, principles in which we still use to this day.
For example the Harlem Renaisance. The Harlem Renissance took place in New York City during the 1920's. It was named the Jazz age. It was also called the NEW NEGRO MOVEMENT. It was the rebirth in various things such as art, literarure, and most of all music. Claude McKay was the writer of the time. Where as Duke Ellignton and Eubie Blake where the musicans. And of course we couldn't forget the writers for example, Lanston Huges and Alan Locke.
