Hurricane Katrina
Been watching the news coverage of Hurricane Katrina today. Looks like it's the real deal; everything I've seen and heard today makes it look like this storm could cause damage of historic proportions. Don't know how bad it will turn out for New Orleans and surrounding areas but it doesn't look too good. Hopefully enough people managed to evactuate or find shelter to minimize the loss of life.

Hey Katie, good to hear from you. Sorry I didn't pay more attention to your situation, cause I bet it sucked pretty hard. I think the storm surprised a lot of people by forming so quickly. But I know you're a tough chick, so you'd make it out okay. Hope things are doing better now. Enjoy those free mangoes and avocados.

well, i feel a little selfish in complaining about no power after hearing all that happened in new orleans, etc. i guess i really have nothing to complain about, because life is back to normal, and i was more inconvienced than anything. and there are certainly more avocados than you could ever eat. congrats on the job, by the way!! discounts for family members???
