the day I long for you
the sun shines through the window
I lay here in silence as the day goes by
the shadows change
the wind wispers and tells me the story
in the leaves of years gone by
the story is of all the wonders of the world
and how there surely is a love that will indeed last
I sit and wonder when he will come
come to me and lift me and my lonely spirit
I know he is there somewhere in the same sun
the same wind
now it is time we will find our hearts and souls
are to meet
yet, we do not realize sometimes when all
is laid at our feet
we must wake from our restless dream
and find our true love we so desire
make this day marked in this book
as the day to be true
