Tips From Coastal Diabetes...

  • Focus, focus, focus
    on free veggies.

  • Choose whole grained carbs

  • Have 1 serving low-fat dairy

  • Drink 3 quarts of water

  • Have 2 fruits as carb choices

  • Make low fat choices

  • Eat breakfast,
    even if it's only a small amount of food

  • Eat most of your food before 6 PM

  • Use a small, pretty plate

  • Fill half of your plate
    with free veggies;
    1/4 with protein; 1/4 with carb

  • Use your measuring cup as a ladel

  • Have one free meal per week

  • Keep to 3 snacks/small meals
    per day with calorie value
