Hi! My name is Joyce Jack and I have been writing poetry for 22 years(I am 31, so I have been doing it for most of my life).This is a new site, so it is still under construction and you'll have to excuse anything that is not finished yet.Following are 2 poems I hope that you enjoy!As time passes I will add more poems to this site.
The Man in the Wall
The man in the wall, I see him clear
I feel him breathing, like he's always near
Hot breath on my neck burning my skin away
The man in the wall is here to stay
To fill my days and haunt my nights
Everyday it's different frights
I see his face though it's not there
Piercing eyes with red hot glare
He's everywhere though nowhere at all
He's the man that lives in the wall
I see him every night and feel him every day
He's always there, he won't go away
He's creeping in my mind like a black clouded mist
In my brain he's formed a cyst
He's driving me crazy as I don't know where to turn
Red lapping flames are his eyes to burn
They bore in my brain driving me nuts
I see the vision of disemboweled bloody guts
The man in the wall is not my friend
His insanity is only a means to an end
It's only a way to capture me in his place
Then the man in the wall will be my face
Hating Ourselves
The silence of the land drifts across the sea
Joining other lands just to let it be
Crawling insects infest our halls
Maggots dripping out of holes in the walls
Confusion is where the army masses are at
I bow down low as I tip my hat
I dip into my bowl to wet my brow
I want answers and I want them now
I see the storm as it engulfs our land
Trumpets in the sky are Gods own band
The eagles they soar as the lions they roar
From our hearts hate and lust we pour
Overflowing is the cup to form a river
Turning our backs on the hand of the giver
Sinful lovers enjoying their flesh
Pain and love in a tangled mesh
Seeing in the stars what we want to know
Hating ourselves while we pretend to grow
