The Featured Poet for the months of January and February is Devon Young. I've chosen him for two months for two reasons, first because this month is almost over so I would like for it to carry over into next month, and second because he is just that outstanding. For those familiar with the site, no he is not a poet with any poems on here besides the poem of the week for 1/17-1/24. His poems are featured on his website, A Breath of Life, they are all beautiful poems, and I think he is well deserving of this and much much more.
Devon is a now 26 years old born and raised in Elmira, NY. He was raised among a large family, and later gathered an interest in music learning to play guitar and the piano. Writing soon became an outlet for him, and in '97 he became interested in the internet and made his own website, featuring his poems. As a friend of Devon's I must say his poems are touching, unique, and enchanting, with a style I doubt I will ever see copied. He is among one of my favorite poets, and dearest friends. I wish you luck Devon in everything you do :-).
