Midterm Argument

I feel that my writing ability has grown tremendously since the start of the semester. Many mistakes I used to make while typing arguments have been corrected in my later papers. My first paper, Mac & PC, is unorganized and I wrote about terms that people who are not computer literate would not understand. Many later papers, such as Divinity and Pornography, are very well written. Most of my papers have many definitions and are much more organized. Also, I feel that the interview assignment was a demonstration of how I have learned to take ideas in an interview and organize them to make a decent paper. Even though many mistakes were made in that paper it was well organized and showed promise in my writing. One observation which I am proud of is the Hurricane Katrina paper. I covered many different subjects concerning the hurricane while keeping them fairly organized and easy to understand. Also, I have learned to collaborate with my pupils and take their criticism to try to make my papers better. Doing research on a subject is very important because if a writer does not know anything about a topic then he or she would not be able to write a convincing paper about that topic. However, Toulmin Logic is something I have not been able to implement in my writing. I do understand the basic concept of Toulmin Logic, it is just difficult to write. In the second semester I hope to make improvements on using Toulmin Logic in my writing and trying to make my papers more organized and easy to read. In conclusion I have had good attendance in class, have never been late, and always participate in group assignments as well as class discussions. I believe I should receive a very decent grade for the first semester of class.
