A very good plot idea gets sabotaged by a couple of crappy scenes. If you are a heterosexual guy, the part where Mel Gibson starts dancing around in the apartment by himself stops the movie cold. That is just a warning sign of what is about to come. The worst part is at the very ending. If Helen Hunt would have just dumped him, that would have made sense and made it a lot better. But the whole, "I am dumping you, wait, it is now 3 seconds later and I have changed my mind, let's get married" routine is total bullshit.
