Saving Private Ryan was one of Spielberg's finest. The movie is filled with heart wrenching moments, tremendous realism, and fantastic acting by the whole cast. Not a movie for a veteran, or the faint hearted. A very strong connection to the characters, and a good plot. You'll like it a lot if you enjoy war movies, or great films. Spielberg triumphs with the greatest film of the year.
