The Spanish Prisoner is a taut thriller written by David Mamet (Glengary Glenn Ross). It stars gen-Xer Campbell Scott and Steve Martin in a not-so-typical role.
Scott plays a corporate research scientist who develops a new "process" for the company, guaranteed to generate untold profits. A trip to the islands and a fortuitous meeting with Martin leads him to suspect his company of attempting to rob him of his due. These suspicions lead him on a twisted ride that keep you guessing to the last moment.
I highly recommend this film as a "must rent." You'll not regret it.
