Maria and Mac
My wife Maria keeps everything and sometimes I am really glad about that. This is one of those times. Back in 1996, Mac Wiseman and Jim and Jesse came to perform in a nearby venue. Several of our group made the pilgrimage 35 or 40 miles to see them. On the way over, Maria said "I brought my picture for Mac to autograph." I said, "What picture?" She said "The one daddy bought for me at the Old Dominion Barn Dance in 1951." Well, you could have blown me away. Below is a portion of the picture with Mac's autograph.
When Maria got to the front of the line for autographs at the intermission, she said "I didn't think I would have to wait 40 years to get this autographed." Mac said "Lord, God, girl, 1951." I couldn't believe he would remember the year. Anyway, the images below show what Maria and Mac looked like on that night.
