Reasons For Waiting

Intro: Just pick and strum around the
E-major chord hammering on the g-string every once and a while.

[E]What a sight for [B]my eyes
to se[A]e you in sl[E]eep.
Could it stop the [B]sun rise
hea[A]ring you we[E]ep?
You're not se[G]en, you're not he[E]ard
but I st[G]and by my w[E]ord.
Came a th[G]ousand miles
just to ca[C]tch you while you're sm[A]iling.[E]

What a day for laughter
and walking at night.
Me following after, your hand holding tight.
And the memory stays clear with the song that you hear.
If I can but make
the words awake the feeling.

What a reason for waiting
and dreaming of dreams.
So here's hoping you've faith in impossible schemes,
that are born in the sigh of the wind blowing by
while the dimming light brings the end to a night of loving.

That´s how I figured, hopefully it is some help.
