Sgili's Poetic Side

Winter

The leaves
fallen
colorful

piled under empty boughs
dying to nourish the Earth.
Life comes through death

The wind
sharp
biting

whistling o'er the mountains
carrying white clouds
hinting of snow to come

The trees
bare
skeletal

sleeping through the winter
waiting for the Sun's warmth
and the Horned One's birth

The air
crisp
clear

your breath in frosty clouds
as you gaze on the sleeping Earth

waiting

for the return of spring

Blessed be,

Sgili
