Welcome to the my Harley related events schedule. If you have an event that you would like to post just send me the details and I'll post it in here.
Where's the party at?
Listen up Bro's and Sis's! I have this section for important things. Things we need to stand together to support. Our individual freedoms are very important to me. I haven't spent most of my life in the military fighting for freedom just to piss it away! If ya don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything!! Nuff Said!!
Well I guess everybody has a story to tell. I want to tell you a story about an event that happened in my childhood that has effected me all of my life. Some of you will understand it, and those of you that don't, I could never explain it to you.
My story has to do with the passion I feel for Harleys. It started when I was rather young and my dad took me to the local Harley dealer to visit one of his bro's. While we were in there I spotted a brand new Electra Glide (panhead) and felt drawn to that sled. I approached this gleaming wonder of mechanical engineering in awe. My little heart was racing as I climbed onto that seat. I can never explain what happened next but it changed my life in that moment. The joining of man and machine, the total clarity one experiences when they've found their life long passion.
Since that day many years ago, I have always had a fondness in my heart for those Iron Horses with their shining abundance of chrome and glistening paint. These are the pinnacle of the motorcycle industry to me, the one and only Harley Davidson.
But I have never forgotten the mishaps of AMF either. It was like watching my hero slowly die. The giant was crumbling before my eyes and my heart was heavy. We were losing a part of American history due to profit margins and poor management. But as the giant went to his knees something miraculous happened. People with the passion for Harley Davidson much stronger than mine stepped forward and took the reins. My hero was starting to rise. Now he is on his feet and stronger than ever and I know someday my grandchildren can go to the local Harley dealer and find the passion I have found.
For all those people in Milwaukee that refused to let a dream die, I salute you. God bless each and every one of you. May Harley Davidson be around for another hundred years!!!
