Battery K, 3d Battalion, 10th Marines has recently returned from being deployed with Battalion Landing Team 3/2 as part of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit to the Mediterranean Sea.
MISSION: Provide all weather fire support to the Battalion Landing Team and the 26th MEU (SOC), on order provide Tactical Recovery of Aircraft and Personnel (TRAP) and Non-lethal Forces.
We could have not done it without each and everyone of our wives, friends and family. Our wives especially as they, has they have since the days of Molly Pitcher, have steadfastly stood by us asn supported us throughout the deployment.
To our Key Volunteers: Nancy, Karen and Laura. Thank You! I know you have put up with alot and persevered to save the day more than once.
A special thanks to Karen Brown, who took my emailed attachments and was able to post it together on the web for us. This was no easy task, when she was already trying to maintain the BLT's webpage.
As this page is about to go away, I have added some of my favorite links, Marine and Artillery throughout the page and to the end.

Home at Last! As I write this we are on our way across the Atlantic on our way home, as you read this however we will already be home. In our last port of call, Rota, Spain, your Marines did some seriously hard and tedious work preparing vehicles for our chop back inspection in August. We were washed down in record time, then the Marines turned to busting rust, and conducting maintenance on all of our gear. Special Kudos to GySgt Richardson, his Motor Transport Marines and all the drivers of the vehicles. They put in lots of extra hours so all of the Marines would have more time to spend with their families when we got home. I would like to publicly thank Nancy Wike, Karen Hollingsworth, and my wife Laura for being KVs during this deployment. The Key Volunteer Program is far from perfect, but it is the best way we have for solving a myriad of problems that arise from being deployed. With a lot of hard work and patience these three women have helped identify pay problems, pass word both ways and put up with a lot. When you see them or talk to them you need to thank them too. They have done a simply OUTSTANDING job, making this deployment go a lot smoother than it could have gone. Thanks also to Tanya Washington, although detached from the battery she did a lot of hard work in preparation for our return.
