Work Experience
External Relations Director, Carolina Athletic Association (April 2001-Present)
Informed sports fans about upcoming UNC Tarheels games and functions; designed posters and special events; was responsible for organizing a committee that worked on publicity functions.
Outreach Witness, Witness for Justice (September 2000-November 2000)
Visited migrant farm camps in Eastern North Carolina with the Farmworkers
Unit of Legal Services of North Carolina (an organization promoting
understanding between migrant farmworkers and lawmakers of North
Carolina); witnessed the injustices experienced by migrant farmworkers;
handed out brochures; interacted with workers.
Tutor, Eastway Elementary School (September 1999-April 2000)
Served as a tutor at an inner-city school; worked with underprivileged
youths; tutored in math, reading, and other school work.
Host and Stage Assistant, Miss Appalachain Valley Pageant (December 1997)
Welcomed and entertained contestants; formally introduced contestants to
judges and pageant officials; dealt with curtains and props; gave cues for
pageant production.
Player Assistant, Mount Mitchell Golf Club (April 1996-present)
Greet and accomodate patrons and members; in charge of golf carts;
miscellaneous duties, such as dispensing beverages, answering questions,
training new employees, running cash register, answering telephones, and
scheduling tee times.
Interests and Activities

in Teaching Fellows Student Congress.

exceptional GPAs and service records).

various functions designed to enhace students’ future career lives.
