Many of us thought recovery was not possible. | Then we discovered the Internet |
1. We admitted we were lazy and could not do anything. 2. We came to believe a power greater than ourselves would do it for us. 3. We accept the conclusion that turning our will over meant that it was gone. 4. We made a searching and fearless inventory of all that needs to be done. 5. Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being that the dishes were under the sink, and that smell is not from the factory down the street. 6. Were entirely ready to accept these defects of character. 7. Humbly asked "Him" to remind others that cleanliness is in the heart. 8. Made a new "to-do" list and became willing to occasionally look at it. 9. Directly we replaced the old one on the refrigerator with our new one, and quietly returned to the keyboard. 10. We continued these steps over, over, and over again. 11. Sought through prayer and meditation to never, ever feel guilty about it. 12. Having had a spiritual awakening as a result of these steps, we carried this message to all of the "neat freaks" we knew and let them know that they were the ones that needed therapy!!!! |
