THE ROSE

BY: CONWAY TWITTY

Some say love it is a river

And that it drowns the tender reed

And some say love it's like a razor

And that it leaves your soul to bleed

Some say love it is a hunger

An endless aching need

I say love it is a flower

And you it's only seed

It's the heart afraid of breaking

That never learns to dance

It's the dream afraid of waking

That never takes the chance

And it's the one who won't be taken

Who cannot seem to give

And the soul afraid of dyin'

That never learns to live

When the night has been too lonely

And the road has been too long

And you think that love is only

For the lucky and the strong

Just remember in the winter

Far beneath the bitter snow

Lies the seed that with the suns love

In the spring becomes the rose

Lady

Words and music by Gypsy

Thou who art the beauty of the Green Earth and the

White Moon among the Stars and the Mysteries of

the Waters, we call upon thy Name. Arise.

Lady, Lady, Lovely Lady

Are you from an ancient star

Lady, Lady, blessed Lady

Come to us from where you are

Magick Sister, Mother, Daughter

Tell us what will come to pass

You who are Moon, Earth, and Water.

You are here with us at last

Lady join our circle

Lead us in the Spiral Dance

When you speak, your magick words will

Send us all into a trance

As we travel through the Universe

We are passing many galaxies

We are all in perfect harmony

Every ending is a beginning

For the past we shed no tear

As the wheel is ever spinning

In our hearts we hold you dear

Lady, Lady, Lovely Lady

Are you from an ancient star

Lady, Lady, blessed Lady

Come to us from where you are

Come to us from where you are

Star Goddess, Ye the dust of whose feet are the Hosts of Heaven

Whose body encircles the Universe

Called upon in days of old Isis, Diana, Melusine

Athena, Cerridwen, Great Mother, Come.

On The Hillside

As I stand on the hillside

With the wind in my face

I feel the eagle that flies above me

I feel the squirrel on the limb

And I know he is not afraid of me

I am at peace on the hillside.

The sun is setting with beautiful colors

The moon is rising with it’s white light

I feel and enjoy the power & strength of both.

I am at peace on the hillside.

I hear the cry of the eagle in flight

I feel his pull to join him

As I sit peacefully, we become one

I and the eagle in flight.

We soar through the mountains

We soar on the moonbeams

Oh, the strength , power and beauty I see

I and the eagle in flight.

As peacefully as I left, I return

I am at peace with the day

With the strength of the sun

And the power of the moon

I am at peace on the hillside.
