Our Mission is to provide quality legal services to our clients through the general practice of law. Whether the legal work involves a crisis, such as personal injury, wrongful death, or the death of a loved one, or domestic problems, litigation to resolve conflicts, or legal counseling and guidance for decisions, we are here to serve you. We provide free consultation in insurance, personal injury, traffic, worker's compensation, and wrongful death matters.

As trial lawyers, we try cases in both state and federal courts. We understand and encourage the resolution of disputes through negotiation and settlement; however, we also zealously pursue our cases in court if an out-of-court resolution is not acceptable or feasible.

When your legal needs involve areas of the law in which the assistance of legal specialists is necessary, we work closely with other attorneys specializing in such areas of the law as tax, bankruptcy, patents, or medical malpractice.

Our firm has built a reputation for integrity and professionalism since its establishment in 1932, and we are here to assist you in a variety of legal situations.

Office Hours and Appointments

The office is open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. We are also open from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays. The office is generally closed for holidays. After-hour appointments can be scheduled in advance for times when the office is closed. On Monday through Friday, the office is closed for lunch from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Our voice mail system can route your call to the appropriate individual if made during non-business hours.

We ask for your cooperation and understanding in scheduling appointments. As a firm which is heavily involved with trial litigation, the attorneys are oftentimes called to court at the spur of the moment since North Carolina generally uses the roster call system and cases can be called upon short notice. We will use our best efforts to immediately notify you of the need to reschedule your appointment. Likewise, we understand that you may have conflicts that necessitate rescheduling your appointment, and we ask that you notify us at your earliest convenience.

In the event your attorney is unavailable, while our support staff cannot provide legal guidance, in many instances they can provide assistance and information relating to your case until your attorney can contact you.

Financial Arrangements

Our Attorney's fees and costs depend upon the kind of case we are handling for you. The different types of fee arrangements range from straight hourly rates, to contingency fees based on a percentage of amounts collected for you, to a combination of both. Also, the time for payment of legal fees depends on the type of legal service being rendered.

Financial arrangements for attorney fees vary according to the type of case. Please discuss you fee arrangement with your attorney at the first interview, and never hesitate to discuss fees at any time during the handling of your case if you have any questions.
