Kristy Boyd: Michael was indeed, a beloved young man. We were friends. I wouldn't say we were more than the kind who chit chatted here and there while passing by in the halls of high school. But, nevertheless, we were still friends. Even moreso, his death struck me unexpectedly and it hurt more than I can begin to describe. It wasn't just my mourning over his life, it was his family's loss as well as his long time girlfriend, Amy. I couldn't imagine what they must have been going through and I hate that the are in such a position. No one ever deserves to witness something like this. Michael was young, he had a lot of life left. However, God had a different plan for him. In memory forever, Michael Houston, that is where you will be. Not only in our memories, but in our hearts always. And forever, you will be remembered as a handsome, young man - retained forever at the sweet age of just 17. You will never know what old age is, but on some levels, be happy. You will never meet arthritis and alzheimers, false teeth or depends©. You will never have to worry about falling and not being able to get up. You will always remain young forever. And most importantly, you will always be loved by all whose lives you touched in your short lifespan. You will never be forgotten, but you will be greatly missed. However, by some shred of hope, we continue to go on with this hope that you are nearby, helping us along in our own lives in some way, shape or form. You are guiding us from wrong, and you are showing us truth. You were 17, yes, but you already knew what true love was. Show others what you found. You are a guardian angel to us all, and we love you for it. In memory you will remain forevermore, rest in peace, Terry Michael Houston.
