20th Anniversary

Lambda Chi Alpha Celebrates 20 Years

A great moment occurred during the spring semester of 2003. Over a hundred alumni of the Phi Theta Zeta chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha came together for our twentieth anniversary. It was a truly historic moment to see the founders of this chapter meet the undergraduates who are running it today. To say that this little get-together was a success is a huge understatement. During the event many speakers came up and spoke about what the fraternity meant to them and how it has changed them. Men like Frank Counsel, Rick McKeel, and Dr. Lowry showed in particular, the Associate Members, what it was to truly be a part of this fraternity. Brian Barnett, former Alpha, and Joe Ioia, the current Kappa, also made speeches about how truly honored the current chapter felt about being in the presence of such amazing people. Possibly the greatest moment of the night came when a hundred plus men joined arms in the largest magic carpet ride this writer has ever heard of. It was a truly joyous moment when so many men who were pretty much strangers could feel so close to one another. This event has left a lasting mark on this chapter. We hope that from now on we will be able to keep in close contact with the men who started and cultivated this fraternity.
