When you state what you think they are saying, it might surprise you to sometimes find that your interpretation is different than theirs. Also, part of the listener's role in preventing miscommunication is to follow along and ASK when you are unsure of what they are saying--Don't assume anything.
Use communication leads to check that you understand:
