- I have a right to my own space and time.
- I have a right to say no to my child to what I feel is wrong, unsafe, or inappropriate.
- I have a right to express my feelings - positive or negative - in an assertive manner.
- I have a right to change my mind and let my child know why I have done so.
- I have a right to make mistakes and do not have to be perfect.
- I have a right to follow my personal and spiritual values and beliefs and apply them to my family.
- I have a right to decide what are the highest priorities for myself and my family.
- I have a right not to be responsible for the thoughts, feelings, and actions of my children and my spouse.
- I have a right to expect other family members to be honest and respectful.
- I have a right to feel angry at someone I love without feeling like a "bad" parent.
- I have a right to be myself and not try to live up to other parents ideals.
- I have the right to say "I don't know."
- I have a right to play with my children or just play.
- I have the right to feel safe and be in environments that make me feel safe.
- I have a right to have friends and spend time with them.
- I have a right to change over time and grow.
- I have a right to ask for what I want and need from my family and others.
- I have the right to be happy.
