LEC Mission Statement
The mission statement of the Triangle Lebanese Association (TLA)
Arabic classes is to teach the Arabic language in its written form and as
spoken in the Lebanese dialect, so that those who wish to learn more may
fully appreciate the Lebanese culture and heritage, and may communicate
in the language of their ancestors, family or friends.

GOALS
- To teach the Arabic language: Speaking, writing, and reading;
- To provide instruction that is appropriate to the students' age and
level os skills.
CURRICULUM
- Beginners Basic Course
Students learn to count, to recognize the letters of Arabic alphabet,
to write their names and to match pictures with letters and words in Arabic.

First Advanced Course
Students will learn to read, write and speak words and to compose simple
sentences. Poems and songs are learned and recited.
In class students learn about Lebanese culture. Students are taught the Lebanese national anthem and other Lebanese songs. They learn stories and poems
from Lebanon, and they are taught how to dance the dabke.
SCHEDULE OF CLASSES
Time
Classes are held once a week on Staurday (Except when otherwise noted), 10:00
AM until 12:00 Noon.

All Saints Ortodox Church, 520 Buck Jones Road in Raleigh

September 19th and 27th
October 10th, 24th, and 31st
November 7th, 14th, and 21st
December 5th, 12th, and 19th
NOTE: If date or time of a class changes, students will be notified in advanced.
Fees
Class Fee: TLA members $10.00 per month per student, (Based on 3-4 classes
per month; nonmembers: $15.00 per month per student.
Materials fee: $5.00, for individual workbooks that students will keep.
Note: Class fees are used to help defray the cost of instructional materials,
such as handouts, classroom materials, and special books which are loaned
to students.
