"JC you did not kill her. Don't you remember it was the cab driver."
"No it was me. I had a dream and I killed her."
"Well tell me about the dream."
"Ok, it was a normal night, or so we thought...."
"What is going on in here!" Justin shouted in the doorway with a very sleepy Lance and Chris standing behind him.
"Nothing." Joey answered blankly.
"I bet nothing you guys keep turning the lights on and off, and all this yelling it's driving us crazy."
"Not to mention all the doors slamming. We can't sleep."
"Neither can we." JC said in a quiet and calm voice.
"JC come on! It's been two days get some sleep." Justin complained.
"Two days! I'm suppose to just get over it and move on after only two days! Justin, I killed her! How can you get over that in two days?!"
"Guys! Stop yelling!" Joey said motioning for Justin, Lance, and Chris to follow him. "Why don't you guys just go back to bed and I'll take care of him."
"We can't get any sleep with all this commontion."
"Try."
"We have."
"Fine JC and I will go somewhere else to talk."
"Thanks Joey. "
"Yeah and thanks for volunteering to take care of him until he gets over her."
"Your welcome guys now go to bed."
"Ok." and with that the three left and went back to their rooms.
"Come on JC we'll go somewhere else to talk."
"Kicked us out huh?"
"Well yeah just get your shoes and let's go."
They walked out the room and towards the elevator. They got in and rode down to the lobby. They walked around and went into the restaurant/cafe area and sat at a table.
"Is this ok?"
"Yes thank you."
"Now tell me about your dream."
"It was a normal night, or so we thought...."
"Can I get you boys anything?" A waitress came up to them. Joey looked over at JC for his answer."
"I'll have a cup of coffee, black."
"Make that two."
"Joey you don't drink coffee."
"I know but might as well try it, anyways back to this dream."
"Ok, it was a normal night, or so we thought. Rebekah and I had gone out to dinner, ya know like we did. Had a lovely time, ya know like we did. Then we got in our cab, ya know...."
"Like you did, yes I know now go on."
"Anyways we were riding on our way back to the hotel and suddenly I was driving the cab and Bekah was in the back all by her lonesome. We didn't think much of it, but she didn't know that I was drunk like the cabbie. Then we came to the intersection and I got mean and evil and ran that red light then I heard Bekah's screams in the back and then I woke up."
"JC you know that's not what happened."
"I made her get in that cab to go back."
"It's not your fault."
"I kille...."
"It's not your fault."
"I don't deserve to liv...."
"It's not your fault."
"I should just kill myse...."
"It's not your fault."
"It's not my fault!!" JC yelled at the top of his lungs. Everyone within earshot stopped what they were doing and stared at the two men. "It's not my fault." JC whispered to Joey.
"I know that. Do you?" JC paused for a second before looking down at his cup of coffee. "Do you?"
"I don't know." He mummbled so Joey couldn't hear.
"Do you?" He sat there silently. "JC!" He looked up at Joey.
"No I don't." They sat there in silence sipping their coffee. They didn't even look at each other.
"I don't know."
"It wasn't your fault."
"I feel so guilty. It should be me not her."
"Don't say that."
"Why? It's the truth."
"Everything happens for a reason." He got up from his chair and threw a 10 dollar bill on the table. "Maybe you should find out what it is."
He then left.
