This vibrational energy therapy, has been described by The NATIONAL INSTITUTES of HEALTH as Biofield Therapy. BIOFIELD THERAPY is a method of healing whereby blocks in energy flow are removed and the entire body's energy sytem is balanced, increasing the body's ability to promote balance and healing.
There are many forms of Biofield Therapies. These include, but are not limited to, Reiki, Polarity, Healing Touch, Reflexology, Qigong, Pranic Healing, Huna Healing, Kolaimni, and even massage. WHAT A REIKI TREATMENT IS AND DOES
Information for Clients
I. Reiki balances and works on 4 levels:
1. Physical: The body & currently manifested pain.
2. Emotional: What you are feeling.
3. Mental: What you allow yourself to think.
4. Spiritual: Your capacity to love self & others.
II. Reiki works on 'cause' rather than 'effects' of Dis-Ease
1. Treats the actual dis-ease rather than symptoms.
2. Accelerates healing, by-passing your daily stresses
so you heal at a faster rate.
3. Deeply relaxes you with gently flowing energy, some describe this as pure love and even fall asleep.
4. Old patterns surface in order to be happily released, you may feel this as peace or as emotion.
III. What do I do during a treatment? What should I expect?
1. A Reiki practitioner works on:
a. the energy centers called 'chakras';
b. the body's energy meridians or pathways
c. specific pain areas the client describes
2. You may focus on the healing energy being presently offered and release all thoughts and fears.
3. Relax, enjoy the experience. Talking or asking questions is an individual matter.
4. There is no need for disrobing or being touched in areas where it might not be appreciated.
5. You may experience a shift in consciousness, similar to dozing off to sleep, which is an important part of your healing process.
IV. After the Reiki treatment:
1. Some clients feel energized, others feel profound peace.
2. To flush released toxins from the body, drink as much fluid as you find palatable during the next few days.
3. Ask any questions you may have.
4. In the case of healing a specific dis-ease, you may want to schedule another appointment to maintain the support of Reiki in your wellness regime.
5. Ask about distance healing treatments.
6. You may wish to examine your lifestyle and make positive, healthful modifications.
