Let's start with some vocabulary & definitions:
Here are some of the most used vocabulary terms. These might help you understand which intuitive skills we use in our sessions -- and allow you to decide which you may already possess.
Please, remember: There is a distinct difference between
having a skill and being a learned, experienced practitioner
of that skill.
We can assist you in strengthening your inherent intuition skill.
Note: Not all intuition development classes and books use the same vocabulary in the same way, but in understanding the basic meaning, the words chosen will not matter.
Clairvoyance
Oftentimes known as psychic 'vision'.
Clairvoyance is the ability to see in your inner psychic eye -- people, objects, scenes, words and symbols can appear. One may include aura reading here -- the ability to see subtle energy levels manifest in colors or waves of light which appear to come from the body. Often useful when working on the telephone or email, one can 'see' the physical body and can describe with almost complete accuracy hair and eye color, and other physical attributes.
This ability is sometimes called 'using the Third Eye'.
Clairaudience
Also known as psychic 'hearing'.
Clairaudience is the ability to hear sounds, laughter, words in your ears without anyone actually speaking. This is one of the most difficult skills to develop. Only about 15-25% of us are naturally hearing based. Mostly writers, musicians and other full-time communicators have this ability more readily available to them. More-so for them, because they work with sounds in their everyday life.
Clairsentience
Referred to as psychic 'feeling'.
Empathy and psychic 'knowing' are two forms of clairsentience. Psychic knowing has long been considered the 'highest' or 'best' ability to practice. Clairsentience is truly the ability to "know" about something without the input or use of the five senses. Clairsentience is probably the most common type of intuitive ability. Often referred to as a 'hunch', a 'gut reaction', or 'instinct'.
