So.......here goes the story of how I got where I am today!
I was born a military brat. My father was in the Army for 23 years and retired an E-9 which is a Sargents Major. While we were in the military, we traveled overseas. We left Ft. Bragg, NC to move to Mannheim, Germany sometime in late 1979, when I was 7 years old. We stayed there for 3 years and in 1982 we then proceeded to move to Ft. Dix, New Jersey, where we remained for 2 years til our new orders came in to move back to Germany. This time in 1984, we had orders for Stuttgart, Germany. While in Germany we toured several european countries to include, France, Italy, England, Belgium, Spain, Amstradam, and we even got to see the big wall when we went across to see East Berlin in Germany. We had a great time. I loved Germany, To me Germany is a wonderful country. It makes the USA look like a Dump! Dont get me wrong, I love my country and I think it has beauty, but if you have ever been to Germany, you will know Germany is very beautiful!
We remained in Germany for three years, til late 1987 when we got orders to move to Ft. Bliss, Texas, to most of you its known as good ole ElPaso. We lived there for 6 months as my father went to a Sargeant Major Acadamy.
After the brief 6 months we then had orders to move back to Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. When we finally came back to my birthplace it was July 1988! It seemed that each new place that we had to pick up and move to I had to start all over. I had to make new friends, get used to a new school. It was always very hard to adjust. As a shy kid, it took me a good 4-6 months to get used to a new move. I felt better being in the state I was born however, and this time the adjustment took only 3 weeks.
I started my sophomore year in a new school and already seemed to have made a ton of new friends.
My first day of school I ran into a
Great friend of mine that I had
previously known for 3 years from
Germany and I had NO idea he was even
there!! When he called out my name from
across the way, I immediatly knew that
voice and ran to him and hugged him for
what seemed like an eternity! Since he
didnt know anyone in the school
and I had limited friends, and we've
known each other for 3 years, we started dating. Which as I may say for some its
ok, but in this instance good friends
should not do! We had an outstanding
relationship although we both new deep
in our hearts that we were meant for
another. So after we got settled in
after 7 months of dating, we finally
agreed on going back to our "friendship" We stayed as close as friends could be
until he went into the marines 2 years
later!
By then it was senior year and I had
transfered to another new school which
was 10 minutes away from our old one.
My Parents got out of military quarters and settled down and bought a New House in the "Richy" area of Fayetteville.
There, I thought I met the love of my life. We were both in a "new" school he was from Goldsboro, NC. He had to transfer due to Desert Storm, since his Father and Step Mother were over there, he had to take care of his two younger brothers. We had a blooming romance and a few months later I became pregnant.
