Character Seperation

      A. Definition:

The separation of characteristics, qualities, memories/knowledge, and resonsibilities (titles and such).

      B. Clarification:

Two characters are to be played as if it were two seperate individuals playing them. Neither of them know what the other character knows, unless told by the other character or by someone else. Nor do they interchange their titles/responsibilties (Example: My nic is zXJadessaXz, I can not come in under a clanless nic and start ordering zX members around or even recruit members for zX under my clanless nic.)

      C. New Characters:

1a. (If Killed):A new character starts from scratch. They are just another new face. New Characters do not and will not pick up where their old character left off. The old character is dead as well as every nic that the particular character had or went by. (Example: If zXJadessaXz was killed, I could NOT come back as zXJade or zXJadessa. Those are all the same characters just different variations of the name) Therefore, the character can not still be married, hold a title in a clan, or even be in a clan (unless born into it or they hae to be recruited back into it just like any other person who joins Clans would be.).

1b. Characters that are just simpily created.

      D. Examples of what is definitely NOT character seperation. These examples are the rule:

1a. Holding grudge against people under character 2 that character 1 has (character 2 has no reason to have a grudge agaisnt the same people as character 1 unless they did something directly to character 2, or if character 1 is role played as a family member to character 2)

1b. Creating a new character just to go and kill people because you dont want your main character to get killed. Thats cowardly and breaking the rule against example 1.

1c. Telling everyone that your this one character when your under another. (Example: I am under the nic zXTyran and I come in the room telling everyone that I am zXJadessaXz. Those are two different characters and they DO NOT know what the other knows, even though they are Mother and Daughter. So simply put, zXTyran is not the Queen of Manor Clan, she is just Princess.)

Talk City Rules

Tyran's Cove Role Playing Game Campaign is a RPG on Talk City chat service. Because this is an RPG on Talk City, the Talk City rules MUST be followed. Failure to follow the rules of Talk City may result in our RPG rooms being shut down. Those who fail to follow Talk City's rules will be unable to participate in the Tyran's Cove RPG. Please visit the Talk City Standards page for more detail on the rules of Talk City: http://www.talkcity.com/csa

Out of Character and In Character

OOC (Out of Character) and IC (In Character): OOC and IC is defined as the seperation between the player at the keyboard and the character being played. OOC and IC should and MUST remain seperate at ALL times if you are to participate in the Tyran's Cove RPG. We ask that OOC discussions be kept out of the RPG rooms. Please take any OOC discussions to whisper or one of the OOC rooms in Tyran's Cove. If you MUST step OOC in a RPG room then please state you are OOC at the beginning of all of your statments. When returning to your character, please state you are now back IC. In NO WAY, SHAPE, or FORM should OOC play a role in the role play of the game. Killing or attacking another character for OOC reasons will NOT be tollerated and may result in banishment from the game depending on how severe the crime. OOC and IC should NOT and WILL NOT mix in any way.

Attacking and Killing

1a. Attacking and/or killing for no reason is UNACCEPTABLE in the Tyran's Cove RPG. A character MUST have a reasonable reason to attack another character. Attacking a character because you dont like their nic, because of OOC reasons, because you are bored, or because they just annoy you are examples of reasons NOT to kill. Killing to avenge the death of a loved one and other SERIOUS reasons such as that are REASONABLE reasons to attack and/or kill another character. There is a fine line between killing without a cause and killing with cause. Killing without cause can result in punishment of the character depending on how severe the crime. Punishment can include anything from lowered hit points to banishment of that character from the game.

1b. Killing while a player is Away from Keys (AFK) is not allowed. Any hits or kills a performed on a player who is away from keys is considered void and does NOT count. However, you MUST state you are away from keys so people in the room will know. If you choose not to say "Away from keys" or "AFK" and you are attacked, the hits DO count against you. Please be sure to do say when you must be away from keys so as to not have something like this happen.

Kill on Sight

KOS means "Kill on Sight" in the Tyran's Cove RPG. A KOS is used when a character does something very uncalled for while staying within the rules of the game. Lets say a character kills an innocent child, a KOS can be placed on the Killer. A KOS is a request to everyone in the game. A KOS asks the characters to kill this certain individual should they find him/her. There MUST be a good reason for placing a KOS on someone. Placing a KOS on someone because they annoy you or for OOC reasons are two examples of UNREASONABLE reasons to place a KOS on someone. Placing a KOS on someone because they attack a clan member or killed someone innocent are examples of reasons to put a KOS on someone. A KOS can ONLY be placed on someone by a Lord, Lady, or God (Those being the highest ranks in the game by role play standards). If a KOS is needed, you must speak with one who holds one of the above ranks. A KOS MUST be posted in the proper posting section for it to be legal. A KOS stands until the person who placed the KOS lifts it or until the person who is on KOS is killed.

Multiple Characters

Doubling nics in the Tyran's Cove RPG is allowed. What this means is that a player CAN have more than one nic in the game. Wether or not a player is allowed to have more than one ic in more than on e clan is left up to the individual clans.

Cloning Nics

Cloning nics is NOT allowed in this RPG Campaign. Cloning nics is to be considered a crime against the game. Punishment may result in lowered hit points for a certain period of time to banishment from the game. Cloning nics demonstrates a player's INABILITY to role play and lack of RESPECT for his or her fellow players.
