#1, Commanding Officer/Flight Leader
Cmdr. Patrick Driscoll, USN


Patrick Driscoll hails from Homewood, Illinois. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in accountancy. He was commissioned through the Aviation Officer Candidate Program and earned his Wings of Gold in August 1981. Patrick joined the Blue Angels in October 1998 and has accumulated over 4,000 flight hours and 930 carrier-arrested landings.



#2, Right Wing, Major Scott Wedemeyer, USMC


Scott Wedemeyer comes from Rockingham, North Carolina. He graduated from The Citadel with a bachelor of science degree in physical education. During his sophomore year, he was accepted into the Marine Corps Platoon Leaders Class. Scott earned his Wings of Gold in May 1990 and joined the Blue Angels in October 1997. He has accumulated more than 3,500 flight hours.



#3, Left Wing, Lt. Cmdr. Kieron O'Connor, USN


Kieron O'Connor arrived from Burtonsville, Maryland. He graduated from Catholic University of America in 1988 with a master of arts degree in accounting. After completing Aviation Officer Candidate School, he was commissioned an ensign. Kieron earned his Wings of Gold in October 1990. Kieron joined the esteemed group of pilots in September 1998 and has accumulated more than 2,000 flight hours and 295 carrier-arrested landings.



#4, Slot Pilot, Lt. Cmdr. David Silkey, USN


David Silkey comes from Calabasas, California. He graduated from UCLA in 1987 with a bachelor of arts degree in history. David was commissioned as an ensign after completing aviation indoctrination in April 1988. He received the Admiral Wesley L. McDonald Leadership Award for the West Coast F/A-18 community. Lt. Cmdr. Silkey joined the Blue Angels in October 1997 and has accumulated more than 2,400 flight hours and 400 carrier arrested landings.



#5, Lead Solo, Lt. Doug Verissimo, USN

Doug Verissimo joins us from Falmouth, Massachusetts. He graduated from Cape Cod Community College in 1987 with an associate degree in arts and science. After graduation, Doug was accepted into the Naval Aviation Cadet Program and reported to NAS Pensacola. Florida. Upon completing flight school, Doug earned his commission and his wings of gold in July 1989. Lt. Verissimo earned a bachelor degree in mathematics in 1995 from California State University-Fresno. He became a Blue Angel in October 1996 and served as the narrator during the 1997 season and as the opposing solo during the 1998 show season. He has more than 2,300 flight hours and 195 carrier landings.



#6, Opposing Solo, Lt. Cmdr. Scott Ind, USN

Scott Ind, from Chaska, Minnesota, graduated from Florida Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science degree in applied technology and an associate degree in underwater technology in 1987. After attending Aviation Officer Candidate School, he was commissioned as an ensign in January 1989. Scott then earned his wings of gold in December 1990. Scott joined the Blue Angels in October 1997 and served as the narrator during the 1998 show season. Lt. Cmdr. Ind has accumulated over 2,300 flight hours and 400 carrier landings.



#7, Narrator, Lt. Keith Hoskins, USN

Coming from Parkville, Missouri, Keith Hoskins graduated from Missouri Western State College in 1988 with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. After completing aviation indoctrination in June 1989, he was commissioned an ensign and earned his Wings of Gold in February 1992. Hoskins joined the Blue Angels in October 1998 and has accumulated over 1,500 flight hours and 240 carrer arrested landings.



#8, Events Coordinator, Major Bruce Shank, USMC

Bruce Shank comes from La Canada, California. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in aviation transportatin logistics from Ohio State University in 1986. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in September 1986 after completing Officer Candidate School. Bruce attended The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia in 1987, was selected for Naval Flight Officer Training in August 1989, and earned his wings of gold in June 1990. Bruce joined the Angels in September 1998 and has accumulated over 2,000 flight hours.
