MORE Great ANCIENT Relics

Who needs a bottom plow- all it takes is money, patience, a scope, a lie detector, a blacklight, and knowledge!

Absolutely STUNNING 4

Abbeville Co. SC, same farm as the Deptford axes on the last page. Very fine piece bought from a 1" picture from a non-collector as part of one man's finds in the 1930's behind a mule. Very thin and fine, a pleasure to hold.

A Face of the Ancients

I got this fine little stone Meso earspool from Bill Jackson at the AACA Expo04 (www.theaaca.com)in Ft Mitchell Kentucky. Very delicately carved and well patinated, from an old collection. I was well pleased to acquire this one for my cabinet.

A Face of the Ancients

This beautiful pair of chlorite? earspools came from a non-collector in upper Georgia. They are heavily mineralized and the material has distinctive coloration showing on both pieces suggesting that the set were indeed matched when made. The Mayhew Farm where they were found contained the remains of the ancient town of Towliga, which were largely plowed out during the early days of farming.
