Cliff's 2001 NC FINDS AND ACQUISITIONS
These 3 harpoons came from the confluence of the Dan and Staunton Rivers in Mecklenberg Co VA. They were beach finds on Occaneechi Island back before Kerr Lake was created on the mighty Roanoke River. The serrated one is missing its tip, but the plain harpoon is whole and the salvaged piece was made into a blunt type. Imagine spearing a 25 pound rockfish with these things! Ex- Jay Goldberg.

A cache of rhyolite Morrow Mt blades found by my son and me on the 27th.
July 8 finds, lying in an argillitic steatite bowl from British Columbia, ex Rod Michel.
