Derrick Bowes, or Bowes, 18 years old, I live in miramichi.

2. How long you been riding for?

I purchased my bmx half way though the summer of 2003, and been ridin ever since so thats like what..6 months, but i used to ride trials and mountain bikes like 3 years ago.

3. So whats the story on this unified deal, yeah, I already know, but let the people know bowes!! they've gotta know!!

well, you (craig) came up to me one day asking if i wanted to start a bmx clothing line, seeing Sinikle wasnt working out anymore. So, i said yes. UnifiedBMX simply means, the love for riding bmx. you can be any race, rich or poor, ugly or not ugly, have the best bike or a bike that is just holding on for dear life and all you cared about was riding. everyone who rides their bmx is in a family almost, cause no matter who you are, we 're all united by bmx ridin and when it comes down to the smallest detial, thats all that matters. so with this idea/theory, we wanna make good East Coast clothing for all the riders out there, who just love to ride their bikes and nothing else. pretty simple really.

4. Have you ever made love to a BBQ chicken? if not, would you consider it?

i have not made love to a BBQ chicken, but i must say, if i had a few into me, the chances of the chicken and me findin a room are pretty good. i gotta try everythin once!

5. Workin on any new tricks??

yeah a few in the works, right now im workin on manual to 180 out, but i wanna try doin spins out of fakies, also barspin to sprocket to 180, been thinkin about tryin that.

6. What is most important to you about riding?

I'd say everything, but the best i get out of riding is, you're always thinking of new stuff to do, and i love that because i could session a sidewalk for hours and be loving everysecond of it. That and just the possitive stuff like going out for rides with your best friends and meeting new people and to me, thats the most important thing of all. Riding, and having fun ridin with your best buddies along.

7. Man, I just remembered something, would you agree that Dane's

run into/thru the trees, back in the day, was one of the most spectacular things you've

ever seen done on a bicycle?

ah man, good times! i must admit though, to the day that was the best thing i ever saw on a bike, like...he went through/over the trees, and was smiling about it the whole time! so awesome.

8. Have you ever eaten a pickled egg? those things look fuckin disgusting

i have not eatin one of those ugly dam things ever, but, i wanna try one, just to say..Hey! i ate a pickled egg..then id probably make myself sick.

9. Favorite Drink?

Pepsi straight up is great, and if we're talking about alcolholic drinks then Labatt Blue is my pick, also some Jack n Coke.

So i shaved my bikini line for nothing?!? Well, i gotta say thanks for my mom and dad for being supportive about the whole bmx thing, gotta say thanks to all the boys who are willing to go out for a ride at anytime of the day, Craig for all the drives to the park/home after a good session, thanks dude owe you!, Parker for showing me what can be done on a bmx, thanks man, also MacLean for being just a great friend and great rider to go out for a session, you da man Satch, thanks....and last but not least, Scott at Incline for everything he has provided me with to get up everyday and go out riding, thank you so much Scott, and with that im gone.....Starwipe.............and im out!
