Ranged (Archery)

A Secondary Combat Skill, and probably the most popular one at that. Archery is one of the most loved Secondary Combat Skill due to it's non-confrontational methods of combat. The ability to strike an opponent from a distance or even behind objects! In this guide, you'll be taught the basics of Archery.

Technique

Of course, the best form of Archery is when your opponent can not reach you. NPC's will attempt to attack you the second you attempt to shoot them with your ammo. So of course, the best way of avoiding this is by going behind a table, chair or any non-passable object. As seen in the picture beside this text, the Archer is given the advantage by being able to strike multiple times without the opponent being able to attack. In this case, the NPC will attempt to chase after the player, but since NPC's use a direct course, they'll end up being stuck since the table or any other non-passable object is in the way. Player opponents may be able to move around, so this advantage may not always work.

After shooting, some of the arrows will collect at your opponents feet. You will not be able to retrieve all arrows, but you will get a good amount back if you reach them in time. If you have a lot of arrows, you can either just leave them or get them anyway to still have a decent amount of arrows. If you don't have a lot, then perhaps you should get more.
