TMNT arcade update!

Posted at 1:58 am by Ian

This is as good as it gets for now. Incorperating my speed hacks and optimizitions like, "overclocking and VB_Duration" under-clocking of the z80, placing the cpus on seperate threads; using a old new video drive straight dirty copy; optimized doublebuffer and buffer length; tuning of the sound driver.

This release has everything I've worked on for the last part of 1 year.It supports 2 player only, as I still have a bug in my control code.

I'll call this TMNTSGA1. Sound and speed are really nice. The sound is better than my last version. It's slightly less smooth, but you will see miles a head of the last version in terms of balance, and It's SBI friendly.

The images have a theme folder plus this is a 2 image kos GUI, using the RAW reading format . You will notice the slow down is now gone. Under-clocking brings slow down. I've been using this since before Christmas on my release to bring speed now, till I've really got it running like I want.Overclocking and VB DURATION is better. Overclocking works the same and has no slow down if you over-clock the VB DURATION.If you don't belive it, it try this version.

TMNTSGA2 this is a update of the last version. Sound is slight downgraded, and it is a PVR driver, not dma as i would like to write my own driver for that. What this means is the screen is stretched and smoother to the eye. 2 players works also, and is better than the first amazing release .SBI friendly

That's it from me for a while.. Life calls. Have fun and stay real.

Cadillacs and Dinosaurs update!

Posted at 7:04 am by Ian

Ok, Ive updated C&D to have multi-player, so now you can play with your friends. I have just replaced the original download.

I would also like to thank the Radical Ways who has done many, many covers for all the SGA. They look great and I will be linking to him permenantly soon. I have included the link here for now. Heres the front and back covers of C&D. You can find all covers on his site.

In other news, I will be taking a break from the Single game arcade releases. I have not been doing much else lately, so I thought I might get away from the computer and see the sunshine for once:)

I'll probable look into multi-player tmnt over the weekend tho.

Thats it for now, thanks for coming and enjoying what I do.

How good is this? i have finally gotten the multi player games such as Cadillacs and Dinosaurs to work! Yay for me!

A little more testing and coding should see another release by the end of today (my aussie day that is).

I'll also look into fixing TMNT as well! This is all good.

Cadillacs & Dinosaurs update soon

Posted at 8:39 pm by Ian

I was not to happy with the first release of this game and some people had problems with it. It was a little buggy. This new version is a lot faster smoother and just plain better, it'll make the old version look like a turkey!.

There is a general speed up, and some fixes to the graphics problems. This is the one to get, so do not get the old one now. The game includes my new speed hack, so its worth testing.

Coming soon! not long to wait. This is more like the TMNT release probably a little better.

I'm happy with it now, smooth speed with better sound, so stay tuned!

cheers, Ian

Wonder Boy Arcade

Posted at 12:30 am by Ian

Requested by many, Wonder Boy is one of the greatest games out there to date. I'm sure that almost everyone born in the 70's and earlier has the memory of playing this game on an arcade machine, c64, NES or other.

It has taken nearly 24 hours of coding and re-writing to get this game to work good. It was requested about 6 months ago, but I was unable to get it up to par back then. Now, I can.

From what I see, there is some graphical errors on the title screen, other then that, I dont think theres any other problems.

Cadillacs & Dinosaurs Arcade

Posted at 2:15 pm by Ian

A great game brought to you by Capcom. Similar to 'Final Fight' in gameplay. This game was by request from Capcom Guitar.

I have spent the last 4 hours trying to get the screen resolution proper. The game plays near 90-100% without sound, and is playable at about 79-90% with sound. (As you may or may not be aware, games do slow down when more graphics are present). The menu screen was done by my wife, (GabbyAngel on the forums)
