Truth




Young people in our society are getting the shaft. They are being stereotyped as dangerous hooligans because youth crimes are being over represented in the media. It is not uncommon to open a newspaper to a horriffic crime done by someone who falls under the protection of the Young Offenders Act. Anger is the is an obvious result. Statistics Canada and the Canadian Center for Justice Statistics can prove otherwise. Under closer examination, one can see the rate of violent crime by youth is dropping along with the rest of society. It is the point of this page to dispell these commonly held beleifs and to inform the public on the truth on young offenders.
