This part of our web page is to recruit new scouts into the troop.
Be a boy who has completed the fifth grade, or who has earned the Arrow of Light, or be 11 years of age but not yet 18.
Find a Scout troop near your home.
Complete the Boy Scout joining requirements
Submit a complete Boy Scout application and health history signed by your parent or guardian.
Repeat the Pledge of Allegiance.
Demonstrate the Scout salute, sign, and handclasp.
Show how to tie the square knot.
Understand and agree to live by the Scout Oath, the Scout Law, the Scout motto, the Scout slogan, the Outdoor Code.
Describe the Scout badge.
With your parent or guardian, complete the exercises in the pamphlet How to Protect Your Children from Child Abuse and Drug Abuse.
Participate in a Scoutmaster conference.

If you are too young to be a Boy Scout then there is a form of scouting called Cub Scouting which is geared for younger boys. If you are too old for Boy Scouts there is yet another form of Scouting called Venturing made for both guys and girls that are ages 14-21. If you are intrested in either of these programs then you can email us and we will send you information on either the Venture crews or Cub Scout dens in your area.
