OK Heres More For You

Heres a very interesting Fairburn. This was acquired in the Grassland Area of North Western Nebraska. The majority of the Fairburns from that area all seem to have an "eye" in the center. Haven't figured out just why yet, but still working on the reason.

Another one from those Nebraska Grasslands. Again, see the eye? The pattern in this one is quite stunning! It has the outline of an "arrow" adjacent to the "eye".

A "gorgeous" one! This Fairburn was in residence at the Creston Sand Plant area, in the Cheyenne River for many years, until the dredge line brought it to the surface to be crushed into sand. I "saved it"! It is much happier to be in my showcase than to be sloshing around in someones cement mixer! No the rock did not tell me that, its just my thoughts on the matter. The Creston Area is a Fairburn Hunters Dream. The sand plant was named after the town of Creston, S. Dak. The town has been long gone and all that remains is a few crumbling foundations. CSP gets all of its material by dredging the Cheyenne River bottom. It's frightening to think how many Fairburns has been turned into sand!
