In France, secretary Pascal will address the letters of agreement to each artist involved in this project. These letters will specify among other things the following conditions:
After confirming the artist, I will occupy myself with reserving the plane tickets. In 2001, I will leave for Ethiopia to put the project in place. I will reunite the local team so that they can assist me in with each of the responsibilities and assist me to ensure each operation is implemented well. Certainly, we all share the love of reggae and the need to share it. Therefore, each one of us has a personal stake in the project.
We will set up an exchange system. The majority of the members of the team have already undertaken humanitarian missions or desire to do so. Some of the artists on the team simply wish to gain exposure. Others still have a vital need for financial backing. We will attempt to take all of these needs into consideration whenever possible. Each of us will establish a letter specifying our responsibilities in the festival.
Salomon will be responsible for the administrative part and will assist me in different approaches to the Ethiopian president, the major corporations, and the owner of the stadium in order to obtain technical and financial support.
Kawtsab will commit himself to finding and renting the musical equipment. “An Ethiopian reggae group has brought to the US important musical equipment, never the less, it will be necessary to rent the missing pieces.
Haile will make the leaflets, posters and streamers announcing the festival.
Then I will launch the publicity of the One Love Festival in Ethiopia and across Europe, the Islands, the United States and Canada. In order to communicate with promoters in different countries, I will use fax, telephone and the Internet. Our means of promotion is the TV, newspapers, the radio and leaflets. In Ethiopia we will also use streamers that are hung in major roadways in the city. With the help of my team we will find houses to lodge the musicians during the five-day concert. Each house will have a member who will serve as a guide and a translator for the musicians. A cook will be at the disposal of the musician in each house.
Yenenesh and his team will be responsible for the buying and selling of entry tickets and drinks.
Batesieba and his team will be responsible for the buying and selling of the food at the concert.
Security will be established at the entrances, at the exits, at the bar and at the restaurant.
The evening of the concert Daisy with his bus and me will welcome the musicians. We will take them to their house where the people, a good meal and refreshments will await them. The next day we will put everything in place. Each member of the team will arrive and take their place.
The One Love Festival will take place over two days, a known artist, two local instrumental groups, local acoustic group and a sound system will participate each day of the festival. The artist and the association will have a booth.
Healthy drinks and fresh food will be sold and served. The price of the entrance to the festival will be approximately $2 or F5.
A short film will be produced by Gregoire.
With Daisy we will accompany the musicians to the airport with the hope of seeing them the following year.
The proceeds from the concert will allow us to put in to effect our goal to bring to the necessary populations and especially to the children aid and healthcare.
