We are both thrilled that you will be joining us on our special day! Here is some FAQs that you might have been wondering...

Why Virginia?

Well why not? We wanted something a little different...not your cookie cutter wedding. Something totally outdoors, southern style.

How in the world am I going to get back to the hotel after I drink and dance the night away?

That is easy my dear guest! We will have a shuttle bus taking guests from the hotel to the Plantation and then a shuttle bus taking guests back from the Plantation to the hotel. If you choose to drive it is very easy to get to the plantation and there is plenty of parking there.

Is this place in the middle of nowhere?

I know you might have been thinking that! There is the Richmond International Airport 5 minutes from the hotel. And the hotel is 20 minutes from the Jasmine Plantation. Also there are many restaurants and tons of shopping nearby! 

An October Wedding Outdoors? What will the weather be like?

Last year it was 73 the same weekend. So far the weather is saying sunny and 60 degrees. Bring a jacket/shawl/sweater if you get cold because everything is outdoors

I want to make a mini vacation out of this. What is there to do in Virginia?

There is actually TONS of things to do. Right nearby is Williamsburg, Virginia where you can experience 18th-century America (and LOTS of shopping) at Colonial Williamsburg. Also in Williamsburg is Busch Gardens where you can see animals, explore European countries and go on some pretty awesome rides. And in the next town over is Historic Jamestowne where John Smith established the first permanent English Colony in the New World and also learn about Pocohantas there.
