My Personal Philosophies

Well, this is my page on philosophy. Many of these I came up with all by my lonesome and tend to be cynical and/or depressing. But I like them anyway. As far as I know, they're all totally original, but I haven't studied philosophy any, so who knows? Anyway, on with the rantings!

Drunken raving numero uno!
This philosophy is very odd. It essentially classifies all people as belonging to one of a number of classes. I classify people as being either a being of the hand, a being of the heart, a being of the mind, or a being of the soul. Now, it's impossible to be purely one or the other, but one is very prominent. For me, I would say that I am a being of the mind, as I tend to be very logical and creative at the same time. This means that I have a good balance between my hemispheres, but that's neither here nor there. I would also say that I am least like the hand, as I am not very physical and avoid anything physical like it's the damn plague.
I came to this classification of people not too long ago, and it sprang from another theory of mine, that being that people have three hands: the ego, superego, and id. The ego was the more interpretive hand and tended to be touchy-feely. The superego was the restrictive hand and maintained balance and order in the hand. The id was the hand that did naughty things. You know what I mean. Especially you. Yeah, you. Get a girl, you monkey! Anyway, I eventually came to the conclusion that this was't true, and sought to develop a more inclusive theory on the existence of mankind. Then I noticed how people of certain types tended to hang out with others like them. I then proceeded to observe their behavior and voila! Another brilliant insight into the nature of humanity brought to life by me.

Unarguably True Statement on Human Nature of the Second Kind
Now, this one contains a very touchy subject: that of the nature of the afterlife. Many theories have been put forth on this. Among the most popular are postmortem judgement and sentencing, and reincarnation. Now, these just don't ring true for me. The idea that anyone would dare judge someone that had to suffer through existence on this planet is absurd. And as for reincarnation, it seems to be wrought from those that are too attatched to their physical bodies and possessions to be a true belief for me. But this is what I think. I believe that everyone has a soul, or at least something of that ilk. Now, as for where it comes from or what form it takes, I have no clue. But I do have a theory on what happens after death. The body is merely a prison that we are all forced to endure to prove our worth of existing as we are meant to be. Once that's over with, we die. Or at least leave the husk that is known as our physical selves. After this I believe in a sort of karma system, where all our misgivings done by and against us are added up, much like placing matter and antimatter together. The more of one there is, the less of another. To make a long story short, if you've been through hell here and maintained a relatively good attitude about it, you'll be more powerful after you depart. The worse you act, the more your power is depleted. Think of it as a karmic/cosmic bouncer. Everybody's let in, it's just that not all of us are as flashy or rich as the others. After this, we are left to our own devices to do as we please. Our souls will dance and frolic in the universe like etherial dolphins in a mercurial sea. Que cheerful, no?

Don't give up hope, there's more to come, just as soon as I remember some of it!
