Monica has been one of the most controversial Miss Mexico.

She wasn’t the favorite, and she wasn’t even considered to win the crown, but she did. Everybody claimed fraud and booed tha organizers of the pageant. Newspapers would say in their titles: “Miss Mexico is a fraud”. She bravely in national Chain televisión replied, “with this body, I don’t need to pay for a crown”. She was the daughter of the governor that was hosting the pageant.  In Miss Universe she didn’t make the top 10 and beautiful Lorraine Downes from New Zealand won the crown. Despite everything, Monica was cosen as one of the best 20 bodies in the pageant.
