I started dancing at the age
of three, at a local school in Milton Keynes, and begun
my professional training at 14, at the Sylvia Young Theatre
School in London, as a full-time pupil. My professional
credits include - 'Our Friends in the north' (BBC),
Paul Merton's life of comedy(BBC), London's Burning(LWT),
Childrens Royal Variety Performances, amongst others.
I then went on to gain a scholarship to Laine Theatre
Arts, Surrey at 16 and successfully completed a 3 year
musical theatre course, with distinction, as well
as gaining my ISTD teaching qualifications - again with
distinction. After graduation, I worked as a dancer/entertainer
in Cornwall for a Summer season where I stayed for another
year as a dance teacher at a local school. Since my
return to Milton Keynes in the millenium, I have been
free lance teaching at four dance schools throughout
the region and choreographing professionally. My
work includes"West Side Story" at Milton Keynes
Theatre and the Wella Hair Awards in London.
As principal of the school I am looking to ensure that
all her pupils receive the same high standards of tuition,
that I myself experienced. |

As a dancer, I reached Advanced
level in all disciplines. At 17, I was accepted onto
the 3 year training course at the Royal Academy of Dance,
majoring in Ballet. Since graduating with my licentiate,
I have worked extensively throughout the Midlands, and
for a short time in London. In 1993, I had the
opportunity to head a dance academy, which proved to
be a thrilling experience. When not teaching,
I am choreographing. This can be anything from
competition numbers for dance festivals, to charity
performances and fashion shows or working with directors
on theatrical productions. As well as vocational
training, I am also an academic tutor, providing tuition
in GCSE and A level dance and working as an examiner
for the AQA board. |
