Who scored
the goals in the 12-11 defeat against FC Braintree on 27th October at
the Braintree Recreation Ground???
I think the scorers
were something like this........Dan Harris 3, Paul Sims 3, Paul Palfrey
3, Martyn Ager 1 and Karl Horspool 1??
If there is no
objection to this, these goals will be added into the clubs history.

This website has
now been completely updated. Squad profiles and stats are correct, and
the goal scorer chart is now updated and back online.

Tom Marshall hits 9
goals and Mark Ager scores his first goals for the club. Karl Horspool
and Dan Harris replied with 4 each, but it was not enough.

FC Braintree 12-11 Layerfield
After a late change
of venue from the Braintree Leisure Centre to the Braintree Recreation
Ground due to a power-cut, Layerfield were never quite as good as their
opponents.
Stats will not be
updated as yet as I am unaware as to who scored our goals! Dan, Paul and
Paul got most of them with Martyn and Karl adding one each????

with a 9pm kick-off.

Official Layerfield Training Session:

hold their first training session on Tuesday 9th July at mid-day in the
Lower Castle Park, Colchester.

Danny Macklin returns to squad
Danny Macklin will
take the place of Dave Canning in the Layerfield City team for tonight's
friendly.
It must be worth
noting that Danny's contract expires at midnight tonight. Danny has
expressed a wish to sign an extension but Steve Suckling has been
reluctant to make another offer. However if Danny impresses tonight,
added to the fact he has stepped in at short notice, a contract offer
could be on the cards..........

Dave Canning sustains freak injury
A freak injury has
put Dave Canning out of tonight's 5 a-side fixture. Dave fell whilst
playing on a climbing frame, and immediately ruled himself out of the
match tonight. It is hoped that Dave will make a swift recovery and be
available for selection again as soon as possible.

New Website launched
I am pleased to
announce the new website is now up and running. It has taken a lot of
hard work to get this on-line. I hope you all appreciate it.
The main benefit it
provides is that there is no limit on the amount information on each
page so things like match reports will no longer have to be deleted to
allow new ones to be put on. Over the next week all the old reports will
be added to this site.

Layerfield in match fixing scandal?
The Camulodunum War Gods have accused
Layerfield of match fixing. The 2 LFC teams went into the final game
with Layerfield B needing a win by 2 or more goals against Layerfield A
to win the competition.
Camulodunum War Gods accused LFC A of
letting LFC B take control of the game and win 5-2, therefore allowing a
Layerfield team to win the competition.
