A person's identity is defined foremost by his or her cultural heritage; and language is the defining characteristic of this heritage. One of the most profound aspect of more advanced countries is the pivotal role a common or shared language plays in the unity and cohesion of their societies.

Through the language, a culture (or a people) expresses its history, traditions and current level of development. Indeed, development of a common language is a pre-requisite for the formation of an ethnic identity or nationality. Geography is another. Religion is yet another. Our focus in this publication is Balochi language, its historical development, and its current role in the formation and determination of our identity.

Balochi Labzank is a Balochi Language monthly magazine that is meant to attract the educated and upper income readers.

Through the publication of Balochi Labzank, we intend to familiarize our people and children with our own culture and literary traditions in Balochi. We want our children to grow as independent, confident and creative citizens, proud of their heritage.

In this vein, Balochi Labzank would strive to presenting literary works of Balochi writers, poets, historians, philosophers, and biographers. We would publish anything that represents and promotes the finest in our literary traditions so as to preserve our beautiful language on the earth.
