With the development of oil-engined tugs an order was placed with Henry Robb for four such motor tugs, they arrived between 1940-2. As well as the Neptune the order included Merlin, Mallard & Nymph. Sold to Shipbreaking (Queenborough) Ltd, Stranraer as SQL 2; scrapped Troon 1981.
