– Sank a u-boat July 1943. Served in the Levant group of corvettes in the

– involved in a five day battle against u-boats in the Atlantic, August 1942.
Sank U-379 8th August 1942 off Cape Farewell, Greenland by ramming
and depth charges. (picture below U-379 survivors) (308) PETUNIA – narrowly missed 4 torpedoes from Italian submarine Barbarigo, which claimed a US battleship ! Rescued 420 survivors of the Empress of Canada. Survived the war and transferred to the Chinese Navy January 1946. (309) POLYANTHUS

– Sank a u-boat April 1943 and shared U-660 the next day with HMS Starwort.

– Used as a headquarters ship for D-Day. Was bombed and sustained damage on

– As HMS Glenarm, sank U-305 south-west of Ireland with HMS Wanderer
17th Jan 1944. Presented to the Free French Navy. Renamed Strule. (340) WINDRUSH
– Presented to the Free French Navy. Renamed as possibly the L’Aventure or

ACHANALT – Survived the war. Sold to Royal New Zealand Navy 1948. Renamed

CASTLE – Launched 1st Sept 1943. Scrapped Faslane 10th
July 1958 (344) HESPELER – transferred to the Royal Canadian Navy before completion. Formed part of the “Barber Pole” squadron. Sank a u-boat.Survived the war to be converted into passenger ships for the Union Steamship company of Vancouver. (345) ORANGEVILLE – transferred to the Royal Canadian Navy completion. INSH – Sank U-307 off Murmansk 29 April 1945. Shared U-286 off Murmansk
29 April 1945 with HMS Anguilla & Cotton. Became Malaysian Hang
Tuah 1964. (347) LOCH KATRINE – transferred to the Royal New Zealand Navy in 1949. Renamed HMNZS Rotoiti . Served in Korean War. Scrapped in Hong Kong Feb 1967. Bay Class (348) CARDIGAN
