GRANASIL Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are based in a lovely small town in East Yorkshire in the United Kingdom.

We have been showing and breeding beautiful Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in all four colours for over 30 years.

During this time, up to the present, we have been very successful with our dogs, gaining CCs (Challenge Certificates, which are similar to the 'points' system in the United States), Reserve CCs, Junior Warrants and Stud Book Numbers.

The blenheim girl pictured below became an American Champion in 2004.

Our first Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was bought as a 'pet' only, a tri-coloured male named Jamanien Cheeky Chappy. "Chappy" was first enrolled in obedience, as he was pretty naughty and always wanted to have it 'his own' way, but he sooned learned the ropes. "Chappy" turned out to be a very nice Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, not just a 'pet', so we decided to show him at some shows to see how he would do. He did rather well at shows, winning quite a lot at open shows.

"Chappy" was the reason, both my husband and I got interested in showing Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and we have to thank "Chappy" for getting us 'hooked' on the breed.

We dediced to purchase another Cavalier, this time a blenheim female, daughter of Champion Bruno Yorkshire Lad. We showed her and just like "Chappy", she did well for us. About three years after her arrival, we purchased a tri-coloured female. We decided to breed this bitch and had her mated to Champion Amantra Bohemian Rhapsody. From the resulting litter, we kept a tri-coloured female (Granasil Tequila) and a tri-coloured male (Granasil Ratzipuss). All our wholecolours go back 5 or 6 generations to these lines.

We firmly believe in breeding only healthy, even-tempered and true-to-standard dogs. We also believe in not breeding just to supply the pet market. We breed to have something for ourselves to show.

These puppies will be enjoying a life of a much loved and cared for Cavalier King Charles Spaniel - either living with us or with their new owners.

Granasil Atlanta and Granasil Georgia were named after the city and state in the USA, where one of our good breeder friends lives with her dogs, which all go back to our breeding. Please visit her website - mentioned at the beginning of my page.

All our stock is health checked regularly, and we hold certificates for their eyes and hearts. With the increase of SM in our lovely breed, we are proud that we have not yet produced - to our best knowledge - a puppy, which has been diagnosed with SM. If you are interested in knowing more about SM, please visit google.com and read up on the illness.

Usually we keep around 12 dogs - mostly for show, and to demonstrate that our dogs are good enough to breed from for soundness, temperament and breed type. The puppies, which we do not keep ourselves, we place in carefully selected private homes only. These puppies are not placed as 'show dogs', they are placed as companion dogs. Most of them can be shown and several of them are shown and do very well in the show ring. At the most we have two, possibly three litters per year. Occasionally, we have adults and/or puppies available in all 4 colours.
.

.

All our puppies grow up with lots of love and socialisation and are used to 'helping' us in our daily work.

Of course, they also have fun living with us and are usually coming along for activities, other than dog shows, as well - like to the picnic above.
