I have replicated below our secretary's resolutions in the GBKA newsletter.
New Year Resolutions!
We all start the year with good intentions, but here are some New Year’s resolutions we could make for our bees to be happy and productive
- I will endeavour to practice good hygiene – I will make sure that I will wash my bee suit and make sure equipment is clean.
- I will ensure I treat my bees at the right time and that I will be proactive with my varroa treatments
- I will try to make up some frames ready for the new season rather than leaving it to the last minute
- I will remember to relax and take time to enjoy my beekeeping
- I will ensure my honey jars are labelled correctly
- I will contact the committee with any ideas for events during the year.
- I will have a go at entering the Honey Show!
